RUNNING RECAP – 2014

I was blessed to be able to run 1470 miles in 2014. That’s an average of 122.5 miles per month; or 28.25 per week, for the 52 weeks.

The 1470 miles in 2014 gives me 49,645 miles since 1977, an average of 1336 miles per year for the 37 full years (not counting the 185 miles in ’77). My 2014 was just above my average for those 37 years. My least mileage through those years was in 1998 (927 miles) and the most was - get this - 2004 miles; yep, in 2004.

It’s been a fun journey; and I pray it can continue. When I see someone after a long time, the normal question is “Are you still running”?

So, I answer that question with a resounding YES! I may not can run tomorrow, but I can run Today; and I’m going to, and I’m going to enjoy it!! Here’s to a great running year in 2015…..and yes, there will be a party in 355 miles….maybe early March… if I’m “Still Running”!
